Celebrating the women contributing to ayoba Services

As part of the International Women’s Month we’re putting the spotlight on Pelisa Mpumlwana today. She is the founder of “Lisa’s Box”, a South African e-commerce vintage store and Faith Wesson, founder and CEO of “In My Feelings', a mental wellness card game.

As ayoba, we stand to empower, improve and help our users reach their wildest dreams by creating opportunities throughout the continent. These women’s contributions to our eco-system make it possible to live out our intentions.

The women in entrepreneurship have changed lives around the continent from job creation and making a difference in their communities one game and one vintage item at a time.

Our partnership with Lisa’s Box started in 2022, the vintage e-commerce has since showcased styles and stories of the previous eras.

“My narrative started with my modest upbringing enriched with culture where authentic African furniture, ornaments, clothing and jewelry is passed down from generation to generation. My love for items from previous eras is aligned to my respect for history. “ said Pelisa Mpumlwana.

Since partnering with ayoba - Lisa’s Box’s traction has tripled in sales and receives on average 50 - 100 vlog reviews daily.

Meanwhile, “In My Feelings”, an innovative mental wellness card game that is focused on being a preventative and early intervention tool for families, schools, universities and companies.

“We believe mental wellness is everyone’s birthright. We are advocates of mental wellness and believe these conversations shouldn’t only happen in a psychologist’s office when there is a crisis. Mental health conversations and monitoring mental states should be part of our daily lives.” said Faith Wesson.

Since our partnership with “In My Feelings”, the services has seen a spike in engaging entrepreneurs and youth up-skilling organizations to improve mental wellness.

When the women were asked to share a word of advice with upcoming, and future women in entrepreneurship Pelisa said: “ In business no one pushes you to do or take precipice logic besides yourself. Just like God's intervention, it doesn't take place until you do something.”

“Go after all those crazy dreams you have. It doesn’t matter if no one else has done them before. You will have the honour of writing the blueprint for these dreams for the next person to follow in your footsteps.” said Faith.

From ayoba we would like to say; we admire your dedication, we love your passion and keep up the amazing work!
