The Women Tech-Preneurs Behind Ayoba’s Services!
Still in the spirit of International Women’s month, we are excited to be showcasing some of the most popular women-led Services on ayoba.
Today we celebrate Guardian Health and founder, Tsitsi Primrose Marote as well as Lorna Mlonzi the founder of SKY INTERNET SA. Both leading ladies have forged incredible careers in the world of local tech and have produced two of ayoba’s most engaging Services in our ecosystem.
Our journey with Guardian Health started in 2020, when they won the MTN Ayoba Hackhathon. Since then, they’ve transformed their services into an ecosystem which makes health assistance and information more accessible through their tele-health ecosystem.
“We are committed to creating technology that will decrease the healthcare accessibility gap and empower people particularly women to own their health.” said Tsitsi Marote as she hailed her long-standing partnership with ayoba’s users.
Meanwhile, SKY INTERNET SA, a licensed South African ISP (Internet Service Provider), joined our community shortly after the company launched in 2021.
“We are very passionate about technology and intentional about community development and township transformation through technology. Access to the internet has changed our lives in previously unimaginable ways and we want to transfer that knowledge and experience to those willing to absorb and make use of it.” said Lorna Mlozi when we caught up with her about her journey and experience working with ayoba’s users.
They say in Africa that if you empower a woman, you empower a nation and Tsitsi and Lorna are just two examples of the incredibly talented women we’ve had the pleasure of interacting with during our journey on the app.
